Why should I use an independent auditor? An audit should be conducted by an independent organization that does not have any conflicts. A conflict of interest may include performing services for the vendor being audited or having a consulting role in the design or negotiation of benefits. HDM is focused solely on health care auditing and does not broker insurance coverage. No insurance company or outside company has any equity interest in HDM.
